India Post on Tuesday launched three premium express delivery services — 24 Speed Post, 24 Speed Post Parcel and 48 Speed Post to enhance time-bound logistics across major cities.The services will be initially available in select post offices in six metro cities of New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kolkata, Bengaluru and Hyderabad. The service was inaugurated in New Delhi by Union Minister of Communications Jyotiraditya M. Scindia and Minister of State for Communications Chandra Sekhar Pemmasani and others.The premium services are designed to meet global standards and guarantee next-day (D+1) and two-day (D+2) delivery, supported by priority air transport, extended delivery hours up to 8 p.m., and operations on Sundays and most holidays. Digital features such as OTP-based delivery, real-time tracking and SMS alerts further enhance reliability.While the launch was in New Delhi, a live booking demonstration was conducted at the Hyderabad GPO. Officials highlighted improved infrastructure and a customer-friendly compensation policy ensuring refunds for delays, marking a significant step in modernising India Post’s services.Chief Postmaster General Veena Kumari Dermal, Postmaster General (Hyderabad Region) Sumitha Ayodhya, Postmaster General (Headquarters Region) N.R.
