Three friends from Chikkodi in Belagavi district died in a road accident in Markapuram in Andhra Pradesh on Monday.Twentyeight-year-old Ajit Satwar, 40-year-old Gaurav and 60-year-old Alka Shindhe died when their van hit a lorry.As many as 14 people were in the van. They were returning after visiting the Sri Mallikarjun Swami Temple in Srisailam.Three passengers were injured in the road accident.A case has been registered in the Markapuram Police Station.The bodies will be brought to Belagavi after legal formalities are completed, Belagavi Police said.Published - March 17, 2026 07:57 pm IST
