/u/FirebirdWriter on Maybe don't get a puppy if funds are limited?

Wait 5 sec.

Yeah my cat literally had to break into my house and my landlord had to waive the pet rent before I would actually debate him staying. I called a shelter immediately and he stayed to be rehomed because they were going to kill him for being a void. I got angry. I said somethings I hope hurt some feelings that day. It was 3 months before I was able to admit he was my cat. He also had some behavior issues (still does sometimes). I in that time figured out the behavior issues cause (he needed surgery for pain), train the non medical problems to be enough, get pet insurance I can afford all the time for sure, food all the time, litter all the time, and then and only then wss I entertaining this wasn't a foster. It took a lot more than this for him to stay. He is bonded to me where he doesn't let other people care for him much and he will sometimes bite them for trying. Kids are safe but adults? They're not his person. He is unable to be with other animals too. So I have a weird cat that's a non public access service animal (legally where I am) because he needed tasks to be a healthy cat and I sometimes get stressed about funds but only because I am disabled and food is ridiculously costly for me. His food has been stable in price thankfully
