/u/ArdenM on Why can't people just play with their kid instead of planting them in front of a screen?? Oh and it's the internet's job to give her that screen time just because she's "a good little girl" Smh

Wait 5 sec.

OK I'm an old (GenX) and when I was 3 we colored, played with Lincoln Logs, went to the swing set, played Red Rover (there were other kids in my neighborhood), and did hop scotch. We got older and climbed trees, rode Big Wheels, had Pogo Sticks, Spirographs, rock tumblers, went to the local pool for swimming lessons, and sometimes watched The Brady Bunch and Gilligan's Island. We also read books. There were no video games or WiFi or tablets to entertain us. It's just amazing to me that people think this is what kids NEED.
