Plus even with someone I trust, they might get hit by a bus and not be able to work or something. My parents consigned my student loans but I had to take out insurance just in case something happened to me because they were in the six figures. And then when I started working, I made them my beneficiary of my pension and work life insurance policy til I paid the loans off. I doubt internet random will do the same.
