A new theatre festival celebrating contemporary Maltese productions is set to take place this April.“Ljieli Teatrali”, presented by Nikolai Azzopardi Productions, will showcase a curated selection of local stage works in a cinematic setting, offering audiences the chance to revisit acclaimed productions or experience them for the first time.The festival aims to highlight Maltese theatre as an art form that continues to resonate beyond the stage, bringing past productions back into a shared viewing environment.The programme includes “Il-Pożittivi (Udjenza)” on 10th April, “The Great Dictator” on 11th April and “Daqsxejn Ta’ Requiem lil Leli” on 12th April.All screenings will take place at Theatre Next Door, with English subtitles provided.Tickets are available online.Should more events like this happen?Photo: Nikolai Azzopardi Productions•
