Crimson Desert reviews are in and the verdict is it’s a strange, often frustrating, sometimes brilliant beast. A lot of what makes it unique is precisely why many players are bouncing off it. But it’s good that Triple-A games can still take huge swings like this, and if its edges were filed away, argues our Jim Trinca, it just wouldn’t be Crimson Desert any more. The official IGN Crimson Desert review score is still to be finalised but it seems fairly in line with the user reviews that are now coming in from Steam and Metacritic among other places, and the game still has lots of issues that mean it’s going to need a lot of patching down the road. Crimson Desert’s review scores have been disappointing for the publisher, Pearl Abyss, which has seen a massive dip in its stock price since its metacritic average was revealed. But should any of that matter to players craving a new Red Dead Redemption or Witcher game, when Crimson Desert is the next best thing right now?#CrimsonDesert #PS5 #PC
