€4,300 were raised in just three hours by “The Old Motors Club Malta” for Dar Tal-Providenza through a static car show yesterday.The event ran from 9am to 12pm on the grounds of Dar Tal-Providenza. It attracted a strong turnout of visitors and motoring enthusiasts alike.Around 140 vintage and classic vehicles, representing over a century of motoring history, were proudly showcased by club members. The exhibition offered a vibrant, family-friendly atmosphere, enhanced by autojumble stalls, food and refreshments.All proceeds from the event were donated to Dar Tal-Providenza, supporting the invaluable work carried out for its residents.Fr Martin Micallef, Director of the residence, expressed heartfelt appreciation, thanking organisers, participants, and the public for their generosity and ongoing support.MEP Peter Agius also attended and made a donation, underscoring the importance of community-driven initiatives that blend cultural heritage with charitable causes.Following the event, the club’s Chairman Dennis Agius and Events Coordinator Aldo Pace, conveyed their gratitude to everyone who contributed to the show’s success.They highlighted that the strong turnout and funds raised reflect both the generosity of the Maltese public and the enduring appeal of classic motoring.The club reaffirmed its commitment to supporting Dar Tal-Providenza and similar charitable initiatives while continuing to celebrate Malta’s rich motoring heritage.The next Dar Tal-Providenza Car Show is already scheduled for 19th March 2027, marking the fifth edition of the event.Well done to all!•
