Artist Hara Shin is presenting “Take the Sky Out of Your Belly” as part of the Malta Biennale 2026.The project is a site-specific installation and evolving pavilion located at Fort St Elmo and the National War Museum. The work integrates real-time environmental data from Valletta, including sunlight, temperature and humidity, alongside field recordings and conversations. It unfolds as a continuously changing installation shaped by weather conditions, spatial context and human presence.Through sound, image and material elements, the pavilion shifts over time, with surfaces and materials responding to environmental changes.Workshops and performative readings also form part of the project, allowing public interaction to influence its development. The installation is part of Malta Biennale 2026, which runs from 11th March to 29th May across multiple historic locations in Malta and Gozo. The Biennale, organised by Heritage Malta and led by artistic director Rosa Martínez, explores contemporary art in dialogue with the islands’ cultural and architectural heritage.Would you visit this installation?•
