This is an excellent position to be in, as the only thing Taiwan Semiconductor is concerned about is AI hyperscalers spending more and more money on chips. And several projections point to this cohort doing exactly that.While the big four AI hyperscalers are expected to spend around $650 billion in capital expenditures this year, there are several other businesses that are also spending big. It also doesn't include other regions like China or Europe. There is a massive AI market already, but it's only expected to get bigger. McKinsey & Company estimates that by 2030, about $7 trillion will be spent building out data centers for AI. Taiwan Semiconductor will be a major chip supplier for a large part of that spending, making it a top way to invest in AI expansion.Taiwan Semiconductor also has some long-term growth projections of its own. From 2024 to 2029, management estimates that the compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of AI-related chips will be in the mid- to high-50% range. That's unbelievable growth sustained for a long time.
