I agree, we did save for a while to go, I could never ask internet strangers for stuff, I would be ashamed of myself thinking that a trip is a necessity rather than a want. People need to learn to live within means, there are little petting zoos and cute farms that are free or very cheap, and most of the zoos let you bring food inside, and have little picnic tables. Also libraries have most of the time stuff with free tickets.
