Actually this isn't a bad point, it can't hurt to see what secondhand or donated stuff you can find before going out and spending money. Ideally the poster would have gone out and gotten this stuff before they got the dog, so they'd be better prepared. But they already went put and got the dog, which at this point doesn't have everything it needs, which puts pressure on the people she's asking for donations from. You get this mental picture of a puppy at home without what it needs, and it causes a lot of stress.
