NVIDA CEO Jensen Huang is undoubtedly the star of the show at the company's GTC 2026 developer conference. Some of its primary component suppliers set up booths at the conference every year, and Samsung is no different. Samsung has been aiming to increase its share in the high-bandwidth memory supply chain for NVIDIA's AI accelerators. It would take confidence in Huang autographing the latest HBM4 memory chip on display at GTC 2026. NVIDIA CEO backs Samsung's HBM4 chipsAs shared by @jukan05 on X, NVIDIA CEO signed the HBM4 chip displayed by Samsung at its GTC 2026 booth, writing that it's “Jensen Huang approved HBM!.”It's usual for Huang to take to the floor at GTC and show his appreciation for partners by autographing the various products that they have on display. These components are vital for NVIDIA as it seeks to improve the capabilities of its AI accelerators every year.Samsung's HBM3e chips were similarly autographed by Huang back in 2024 but those chips had a lot of difficulty in clearing NVIDIA's quality tests. This allowed SK Hynix to become the dominant supplier of that generation, with Samsung then shifting its focus to HBM4. Reports suggest that Samsung already accounts for a respectable 30% of the HBM4 supply for NVIDIA. The company now expects its HBM4 yields to hit 85% by the end of this year which would enable it to seek a bigger share in not just NVIDIA's supply chain but also to meet the needs of other chip designers that require high-bandwidth memory.Jensen approves Samsung HBM4. pic.twitter.com/K2fVntYliA— Jukan @GTC2026 (@jukan05) March 17, 2026
