A decade after closing his credit card and receiving confirmation, a customer was shocked to receive a Rs 33 lakh demand notice from his bank. After the bank continued to harass him, he filed a complaint. The Karnataka State Consumer Commission has now ordered the bank to pay him Rs 5 lakh in compensation for unfair trade practices and harassment.
