Part of the fun is taking time to collect what you need. I understand it's different if kids are part of the picture. When I started out I had: a small sofa bed. A cheap Tv that sat on cardboard boxes. Gradually I went out and found small, folding bookcases. A rocking chair. A stereo stand. Nothing matched. It was all from deeply discounted clearance or sales. One at at time. One room was completely empty. Anything such as a fully outfitted kitchen and accessories, tons of comfort items, no. People now expect to move in and have someone fill every corner and cabinet with hand delivered items in anything they might possibly need, all at once. Those who grew up in that type of world won't understand what's wrong about it, wanting everything all at once. Is asking for essentially everything, expecting delivery, or asking for luxury items in a freebies or freecycling group, considered picky? I don't know. How do people travel and move with literally nothing? Or do they want to just leave every stick behind, and start with just the clothes on their backs?
