The Hotel and Restaurant Association Western India has requested the Maharashtra government for a one-month extension on annual license fee payments. They also proposed a staggered payment plan. This plea comes as a severe commercial LPG shortage has forced many hotels and restaurants to shut down. Around 30 to 35 percent of establishments are currently closed.
