After a period of closed beta, Riot’s League of Legends fighting game 2XKO has an early access release date of October 7, 2025.The 2v2 fighting game, which features playable characters from the League of Legends MOBA and animated series and Arcane, opens up on that date to all players on PC, with no invite code required. There was no mention of consoles in today's announcement.Riot said early access kicks off with Season 0 and the debut of the game’s 10th champion. Each event will remain community-run while receiving a Riot-sponsored pot bonus, the company said.If a duo wins first place in a First Impact tournament, they will claim the Duo Bounty, an extra $2,500 prize on top of the existing pot, also sponsored by Riot. Winners will also earn an exclusive Local Legend player title for their 2XKO account.The first Riot-supported tournament will be Evo France: 2 NICE KO, organized by The MIXUP Crew, taking place in Nice, France from October 10-12.Wesley is Director, News at IGN.
