Minister of Education Sonia Parag has underscored the national importance of timely and quality completion of Guyana’s first dedicated School for the Deaf, now under construction at Cummings Lodge.During a site visit on Saturday, Minister Parag told the contractor that the project must be delivered to the highest standard, describing it as a “model of excellence for inclusive education in Guyana.” She expressed confidence that the facility, currently on schedule, will be completed by November 2025, and assured that her Ministry will continue monitoring progress until the doors officially open.The G$194.4 million project is being executed by Superior Supplies and General Construction.
