Led by BJP Rajya Sabha MP Satnam Singh Sandhu, the delegation paid tribute to the atomic bomb victims at the Hiroshima Peace Memorial. The gathering included Toshiko Tanaka, a member of Nobel Peace Prize winning group (Nihon Hidankyo) of atomic bomb survivors, a third-generation atomic bomb survivor and Managing Director of Peace Culture Village in Hiroshima and members of the Indian diaspora in Japan. During the visit, the delegation members rang the Peace Bell at the memorial 75 times to underline the message of peace and harmony in the world.The CrunchFOR THE first time in many years, Delhi Police headquarters is grappling with a shortage of senior officers, with several Special Commissioners of Police currently holding additional charges. Delhi Police Commissioner Satish Golchha, who assumed office last month, is facing the crunch after two 1991-batch Special CPs were moved to other departments and one officer retired recently.
