Get out, get out,” and then an angry Van Gerwen emerges from the scramble.Now addressing the incident in an interview with Darts News, the Dutchman said: “After an enjoyable night out, we wanted to grab something to eat, and unfortunately I ended up in a situation you’d rather avoid.“The man came at me from the kitchen, not the other way round, following a verbal exchange. “People are making it sound more dramatic than it actually was, which is a shame.“As you can see, people stepped in straight away and the situation was resolved. It’s fantastic to finally hold a trophy again,” he said. “We all know where I come from, and to show this in front of my home crowd means the world to me.“I never expected this a week ago, to be honest. But I still love what I do. Hopefully, this is the start of a bright future.”
