Samsung Electronics seems to have found its groove again after having a couple of bad quarters. Its revenues and profits were largely dragged down by the foundry division which saw mounting losses due to under utilized production capacity.Things have begun improving recently and the company is now expected to have another quarter with over $7 billion in operating profit on the back of steadily rising revenues. Slow and steady wins the raceSamsung generated revenues of over $57 billion the third quarter of last year and posted an operating profit of $7.3 billion. Analysts estimate that Samsung's revenue in the third quarter of 2025 will be closer to $59 billion and the operating profit likely coming in higher than the same period last year.The sustained growth will likely be contributed by the semiconductor division. Samsung has received more foundry orders and the division is expected to reduce is defict by almost 50% this quarter. The company has also received more high-bandwidth memory chip orders which have helped increase profitability. Better average selling prices for legacy memory products have just been the cherry on top.The mobile division has been printing cash for Samsung in recent quarters and it won't be any different in Q3 2025.
