Dr Ian Roberts, superintendent of Des Moines schools, was arrested by ICE for alleged illegal stay in the US with a loaded handgun and cash. He was hired to work as superintendent of Des Moines Public Schools on July 1, 2023, after a nationwide search for qualified candidates.
