The Commerce Department of Ethiraj College for Women celebrated its golden jubilee on Thursday in the presence of T.R.B. Rajaa, Minister for Industries, Investment Promotions and Commerce. A coffee table book chronicling the journey of the department was also brought out to mark the occasion. The Minister said that the State was committed to offering more incentives to women in the form of schemes to pursue higher education. Past heads and faculty members of the department were felicitated. V.M. Muralidharan, Chairman, Ethiraj College, S. Uma Gowrie, Principal and Secretary, and A.S.
