The few benefits offered by AI seem to be vastly outweighed by the negatives that it has brought into the world. This past week has seen perhaps one of the most sickening and depraved uses of the tool be discovered by horrified viewers online. A channel on YouTube was recently discovered to have dozens of AI-generated videos created using Google’s Veo software. The channel, named Woman shot A.I., provided the exact kind of content you’d expect a channel with a name like the to provide. The disturbing videos were discovered by horrified viewers but despite the graphic and obviously deeply misogynistic nature of the footage it managed to slip through Google’s content filters. It wasn’t until 404 Media wrote an article exposing the channel that Google finally acted. According to the news outlet, the channel had been active since June 20th 2025 and had posted a total of 27 videos all following the same formula. This kind of AI content should not be possible to make While video generating software like Veo, does have guardrails in place to ensure this kind of content can’t be made, clearly it doesn’t work. What’s worse is that it went undetected for so long. Share it with others and then some to view it?” McGlynn asks. Unfortunately it does seem as though some men clearly derive a sick form of pleasure from watching such content (and they wonder why women chose the bear). “Why do they hate us so much?” asked one person in the comments underneath McGlynn’s video, “This just reaffirmed my decision to stay single and childless,” added another, while a third wrote, “THIS IS WHY AI IS BAD!” Many are already against AI but unfortunately it looks like it’s here to stay. While the channel has now been taken down, (thanks to the efforts of 404 Media), McGlynn calls for tighter regulations regarding the use of AI. Disturbing footage like this should not be so readily available, even if it isn’t real.
