Apparently, President of U.S’ duties now include calling companies to fire their employees because Laura Loomer said so

Wait 5 sec.

President Donald Trump is currently trying to overturn the hiring of Lisa Monaco as the president of global affairs at Microsoft. And now reports are coming out that far-right commentator Laura Loomer might have had a hand to play in the push as well. The indictment of former FBI director James Comey cannot just be read in a vacuum. Trump has made it clear repeatedly that he will not brush off criticism. In fact, in the immediate aftermath of Comey’s indictment Trump told reporters, “I hope there will be others.” The president clarified that there is no list of foes per se, but he does think there will be others like Comey. One of Joe Biden’s final acts as president was issuing preemptive pardons to some people he suspected Trump was going to target when he’s president. Those pardons still remain a thorn in Trump’s flesh to this day, and he still makes petulant moves to try his very best to invalidate the pardons. In his exit interview with USA Today, Biden even said when it was clear he was to hand over the presidency back to his predecessor he told him, “I tried to make it clear that there was no need and it was counterintuitive for his interest to go back and try to settle scores.” Clearly Trump didn’t listen. The first person who showed qualms with the hiring of Lisa Monaco was none other than the controversial Laura Loomer. Loomer took to X to tell her followers that she had just alerted the president about Microsoft hiring Monaco and asked for her immediate termination. Loomer tagged the Microsoft CEO directly and urged him to “comply” and stop being “two-faced.” How is this real life? pic.twitter.com/HAo4JvZDuK— Chris D. Jackson (@ChrisDJackson) September 26, 2025 According to Politico, Trump then echoed similar thoughts writing: “Monaco has been shockingly hired as the President of Global Affairs for Microsoft, in a very senior role with access to Highly Sensitive Information. Monaco’s having that kind of access is unacceptable, and cannot be allowed to stand.” Trump suggested that Microsoft’s relationship with the US government could be threatened by them having a “menace” like Monaco in their ranks. The apparent jawboning is likely being motivated by Trump’s relationship with Biden’s Justice Department in which Monaco served as the deputy attorney general. During Monaco’s tenure, Trump was blamed for mishandling classified federal material and election interference among other serious charges. If Trump is unwilling to overlook media companies writing unfavorable stories about him and comedians who satirize his interviews — then it’s no real surprise that he was never going to ignore the actual justice department workers who had brought up very credible charges against him. This isn’t even the first time he has used his new relationship with the tech industry to try and arm-twist them to do his bidding. During the early days of the tariff implementation — it’s reported that Amazon considered adding the tariff prices on every good on their application but when Trump called it a “political act” Amazon quickly backed down. So Microsoft has a decision here — either comply or stand up for themselves. But one thing is for certain with the Trump administration, if they do give him that inch he is asking for, there’s no question he’ll come back for his mile.
