Racism has never been far from American society, but the Trump era and his relentless anti-immigrant rhetoric have given it new oxygen. A viral video circulating on social media captures the latest display: a Texas woman harassing a DoorDash driver for the apparent crime of simply living in America. The disturbing footage shows the woman marching up to a parked car and unleashing a series of racist remarks. Pointing at the driver, she sneers that she’s “illegal” and asks, “Why are you entitled to be here with an illegal car?” Hearing the driver speak her native language, the woman mocks her with a taunting, “No speak English?” before threatening her to “speak in English.” When the woman asks why she needs to speak in English, she doubles down, “Why are you in Flowermound? Go speak your language back in Mexico.” The driver laughs it off, enraging the woman further as she hurls, “You think that’s funny?” She then begins circling the vehicle, snapping photos of the license plate, and shoving her phone into the driver’s face. The driver shot back with the obvious question: “Are you police?” The video cuts off there, later uploaded by the victim to her TikTok and Instagram accounts before spreading across multiple platforms. Viewers were quick to voice their outrage, blasting the Texas woman’s behavior as not just racist but dangerously representative of the entitlement boosted by today’s political environment. “Karen’s” daughter apologises on her behalf, says she has “no relationship” with her mother Ugh the poor daughter pic.twitter.com/9lG2wLRQaM— MaxaDuke (@Tat52269008) September 26, 2025 However, as the video reached the racist woman’s daughter, she posted a story on her Instagram, publicly apologising for her mother’s behaviour to the victim. “I am completely and utterly embarrassed and saddened by my mother’s actions and do not condone or support this kind of behavior at all,” she wrote. The daughter, named Taye Chadwell, also revealed that her mother is racist towards her Hispanic boyfriend as well, and that she has not been on speaking terms with her mother for quite a while due to this type of behavior. While people sympathised with Chadwell, the racist woman got the heat she deserved from people on social media. “Ma’am yelling at a DoorDash driver isn’t ‘securing the border.’ It’s just embarrassing the rest of us,” one wrote. Another took a sharp jab at both her and the current government, calling the woman “MAGA final boss.” While this viral clip will die down in a few days, it’s still a snapshot of how racism and entitlement continue to seep into everyday life, fueled by political rhetoric that paints immigrants as villains.
