Around 400 additional women police personnel would be deployed on the ground.In view of the prevailing situation in Bangladesh and the Centre’s standing instruction to ensure zero illegal immigration, the state police also held a meeting with BSF to chart out a strategy for border areas.The DGP said 215 additional vehicles would be hired for mobile patrolling during the Puja festivities. The officer added that 300 CCTV cameras would also be used in addition to the existing CCTVs.“We have also requested Puja organisers to ensure CCTV surveillance to ensure advanced tracking and crowd management. In all districts, SPs, SDPOs, and OCs are being involved in meetings, and everyone will cooperate.
