(Express photo)Self proclaimed ‘godman’ Chaitanyananda Saraswati, who allegedly sexually harassed 17 women students at a private institute, was arrested in an Agra hotel early morning on Sunday, the Delhi Police said.According to officials, a Delhi Police team traced Chaitanyananda to Agra based on a tip-off.As pe the FIR, Chaitanyananda, a former chairman of the management institute in southwest Delhi, allegedly forced female students to visit his quarters late at night and sent them inappropriate text messages at odd hours.Chaitanyananda also allegedly misappropriated funds worth Rs 20 crore, claimed to be a part of a national advisory council, and photoshopped photos with politicians. After the investigation, the police froze over 18 accounts and 28 fixed deposits in the name of a trust set up by Chaitanyananda which had around Rs 8 crore in them.Chaitanyananda was booked in a separate case last month for allegedly sexually harassing 19 women at Sri Sharda Institute of Indian Management (SRIISM) in Vasant Kunj.
