STEVEN GERRARD could add value to one of the Championship’s most high-profile clubs, according to Pat Nevin.The Liverpool icon has been out of management for eight months since being sacked by Al-Ettifaq but has been tipped for a return.Steven Gerrard has been told he would make an impact at Wrexham.PAPhil Parkinson has impressed at the Welsh club, taking them to the Championship.[/caption]After short stints at Aston Villa and in Saudi Arabia, it is Wrexham who would suit the former England midfielder. As Hollywood A-list owners Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney continue to try and rise through the leagues, Gerrard’s X-factor could provide them something special.Speaking to Escapist Magazine, Nevin said: “I have to say, Wrexham’s a temptation for Steven Gerrard.“With Wrexham, what’s the downside of that? The expectations are minimal from most people in football. “Maybe not from the owners, let’s be fair. But he could make that extra special. “My eyebrows are raising at that one. I’m thinking, ‘Oh yeah, that could be good.’ “And of course, north-west, Wrexham may have a wee understanding with Liverpool Football Club.“I wouldn’t be surprised at that one if that happened.
