By: Express News ServiceSeptember 30, 2025 08:47 AM IST 2 min readWork on reviving the temple’s sarovar is in progress and the temple’s sewage system is also being comprehensively upgraded.The Vice Chairman of Punjab Economic Policy and Planning Board Monday announced that the Kali Devi Temple, Patiala, will be developed on the lines of multiple religious shrines including Sri Mansa Devi and Vaishno Devi.Rajinder Gupta, who also chairs the Kali Devi Temple Advisory Committee, was speaking on the seventh day of Shardiya Navratri at the temple complex.Highlighting the cultural and historical importance, Gupta said the temple will be a special attraction for visitors to Patiala’s tourism circuit.The work has already begun and the devotees will see significant improvements at the temple within the next one year, Gupta said.He also said that AAP National Convener Arvind Kejriwal and Chief Minister Bhagwant Singh Mann have visited the temple and envisioned its holistic development.The offerings from the temple would be used for public service projects in the fields of healthcare, education and welfare, Gupta said.Work on reviving the temple’s sarovar is in progress and the temple’s sewage system is also being comprehensively upgraded.Story continues below this adHe also informed that the devotees can stay overnight in the newly built building.
