The rain this week could peak on Dashami on October 2 and mar the last day of the Durga Puja festivities. As per the IMD, Kolkata, along with West Midnapore, Jhargram, East Burdwan, Kolkata, Howrah, Nadia, Murshidabad and Birbhum districts, could receive heavy rainfall (07-11 cm).Thunderstorm, lightning and gusty wind reaching speeds up to 50 kmph very likely to occur at one or two places over East Midnapore and South 24 Parganas districts and other districts of South Bengal.Dashami weather in North BengalNorth Bengal, too, is unlikely to be spared of the inclement weather on Dashami.
