‘A man was murdered’: Influencer Hannah Brown defends her decision to attend Charlie Kirk memorial but TikTok isn’t buying it

Wait 5 sec.

The death of Charlie Kirk has polarized the country with plenty seeking to use the shooting as fuel for their political fires. One TikTok influencer by the name of Hannah Brown has found herself under fire after attending the memorial for the late Kirk with many accusing her of being MAGA. Brown has been a prominent influencer on TikTok for a while now. Her comedic skits often receive millions of views and hundreds of thousands of likes. However, many of her followers have found themselves disappointed in the popular creator for choosing to attend the memorial of Charlie Kirk who was shot while attending an event at a university campus earlier this month. Kirk’s death has resulted in a widening rift between the left and right. It almost feels like a balancing act for everyone in the U.S. at the moment, show too much sympathy for Kirk and the left will brand you as a right wing MAGA supporting Trumpie, but don’t show enough sympathy and the right will blast you online and try getting you fired. Brown fell off the tight rope and landed on the MAGA side in the eyes of many. Her decision to attend his memorial service, the one attended by almost entirely pro-MAGA figures and where political rhetoric against the “radical” left was spread, sealed her fate. Hannah Brown denies being MAGA Brown addressed the drama last week, categorically denying that she was MAGA but defending her choice to attend the memorial of Kirk. “First of all, I am not MAGA, I was not at a MAGA rally,” she states at the start of her video. “I went to a memorial for Charlie Kirk, a man who was brutally assassinated.” @.hannahbrown john 15:18 ♬ original sound – Hannah Brown While she clarifies that she does not agree with what Kirk believed, she doesn’t believe that justifies him being shot and she condemns those who celebrated his death. “A man was murdered. Whether or not you agree with his political beliefs is so irrelevant.” While Brown may have a point, most of TikTok disagrees. Comments are turned off on all of her videos but that hasn’t stopped discussion from taking place elsewhere. One popular TikToker who simply goes by “C” responded to Brown’s video, quipping that “it just happens that everyone there was MAGA.” Another noted how the event was decked out with Trump merch and MAGA merch. Unfortunately for Hannah Brown, the evidence seems to point to her being MAGA, (at least to many on TikTok). While there’s nothing wrong with mourning the death of a man brutally slain in front of thousands, attending a public event with such a crowd has convinced many she is, and always was a Trump supporter.
