(Photo: Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle/ Prime Video)Salman Khan is 59 and has never been married, yet the image associated with ‘Bhai’ is that he is a family man. With four siblings, many nephews and nieces, and a big group of close friends, Bhai’s friends have always seen him as someone who stands by his people. So when on a recent episode of Two Much with Kajol & Twinkle, Salman was asked if it was “okay to lie to protect someone you love,” the actor said something that shocked the hosts and Aamir Khan, who was also a guest on the show.At first, Salman said that it would depend on the lie. “It depends on the lie. If it’s a white lie, then it’s okay. But if you blatantly lie and support somebody you love who’s wrong, then I think it’s wrong,” he said and as the others argued what they would do under such circumstances, Salman added a moral twist. “It depends na. Agar khoon kar diya hai toh lie karoge? (If they have killed someone, would you still lie to protect them?)”As the others kept arguing, Salman suddenly changed his stance and declared that he would definitely lie to protect his loved ones. “1000% I’ll lie to protect somebody I love, no matter what happens,” he said, and this response did not surprise anyone. Twinkle exclaimed, “Oh my God, you put such an act and we fell for it!”Also Read | The Ba***ds of Bollywood is Aryan Khan’s way of honouring the defiance that made Shah Rukh Khan a megastarSalman also spoke about emotional vulnerability here as Aamir discussed his mental health, but Salman seemed to be of the opinion that one should “cry for the right reasons.” He said, “Why cry for no rhyme or reason? Crying for like brother, sister, mother, father, family is okay. But going and crying because a girlfriend has left you, that’s a bit too much.” The actor has never been married.Salman’s image of being a macho hero was solidified with the aforementioned statement, and the actor also said that he puts on an act of being intimidating. Twinkle commented, “Everyone is scared of Salman.” And to this, Salman responded, “This intimidation, I feel, is something I pay a huge price for. For instance, the way I walk, wherever I go, people think I have an ‘attitude,’ that nothing matters to me, and all that.” He said that he started putting on this persona so people wouldn’t mess with him. “Since childhood, people would come and say, ‘Hey how sweet,’ and ruffle your hair. So in order to keep that away, I must carry an expression that says ‘stay away from me.’”On the professional front, Salman Khan is currently busy shooting for his upcoming film Battle of Galwan, while simultaneously filming the latest season of Bigg Boss.Click here to follow Screen Digital on YouTube and stay updated with the latest from the world of cinema.© IE Online Media Services Pvt Ltd
