Former Norwich player Onel Hernandez has joined high-flying Charlton on a short-term contract following his release from Carrow Road.The 32-year-old winger has put pen to paper on deal until January at The Valley.Hernandez has linked up at Charlton on a free transferGettyDespite the transfer window slamming shut at the start of the month, clubs are able to snap up free agents.And Hernandez has ended his four-month absence away from football by joining Norwich’s Championship rivals having rejected overseas offers.What experience will Hernandez bring to Charlton?The 14-cap Cuba international spent the last seven years at Carrow Road having joined in January 2018.He was part of two Championship promotion-winning campaigns to help Norwich return to the Premier League in both 2019 and 2021.In total, Hernandez, who also enjoyed loan spells at Middlesbrough and Birmingham in the 2021/22 campaign, featured in 210 games for the Canaries in all competitions – scoring 15 times.
