During the exchange of fire, Kab was fatally wounded, apparently by friendly fire.Magen David Adom and United Hatzalah medics rushed to the scene, providing treatment to Kab and others suffering from shock before evacuating them to hospitals.“We provided initial medical treatment at the scene to a young adult approximately 19 years of age who sustained serious injuries,” United Hatzalah EMT Shmulik Agassi said, noting that additional individuals were treated for psychological trauma caused by the attack and ensuing gunfire.The IDF confirmed in a statement: “A security force eliminated the terrorist who carried out the ramming attack on the spot.”The terrorist was identified as Mahmoud al-A’qad from Nablus.
