The iconic Disney theme park has served not only as the face of Orlando tourism but also as the theme park industry as a whole, with Magic Kingdom being one of the most popular vacation destinations in the world.A huge part of Magic Kingdom’s continued success comes down to what rides the park has to offer. Magic Kingdom is known for classic dark rides like Haunted Mansion and Peter Pan’s Flight, but the park also has several more thrilling adventures under its belt.Recent additions like Tiana’s Bayou Adventure and TRON Lightcycle / Run have enhanced Magic Kingdom’s selection of rides quite nicely. The park’s upcoming Piston Peak expansion will add many more rides in the coming years.Inspired by Pixar’s Cars franchise, Piston Peak will feel similar to Radiator Springs at Disneyland, transporting visitors into the world of Lightning McQueen. However, even at “The Most Magical Place on Earth,” issues are bound to arise, with the entire resort having widespread outages earlier this week.Credit: DisneyRelated: Why the New Disney Lincoln Logs Sets Are a Must-Have for Every Disney FanOn September 23, Walt Disney World experienced a power outage that affected several rides and attractions across the resort. This expansion was one of the largest ever to hit Magic Kingdom, bringing new rides, attractions, and other experiences to Disney’s original Florida theme park. The most popular part of this update has been Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. Despite opening over a decade ago, this Snow White-themed roller coaster continues to be one of the most popular attractions not just at Magic Kingdom but throughout Walt Disney World.Journey of the Little Mermaid is also quite popular, as it’s a great option for those moments when you just need a break from the hustle and bustle of the rest of Magic Kingdom. What is your favorite ride at Magic Kingdom? The post Outage Wreaks Havoc on Classic Magic Kingdom Ride Following Refurbishment appeared first on Inside the Magic.
