The government will soon auction coal blocks specifically for gasification, aligning with its plan to gasify 100 million tonnes of coal in five years. This initiative supports the Rs 8,500 crore financial incentive scheme promoting coal gasification to produce valuable products and reduce import dependence. An RFP for the remaining Rs 2,500 crore will also be floated.
