Samsung gave a feature Galaxy phone owners want to a fridge of all things

Samsung has been pretty great on following through with features that its Galaxy device owners love, but there's one feature that continues to evade them, App Lock. The feature would enable users to lock individual apps behind a PIN so even if someone had access to their device, they wouldn't be able to launch those apps unless they knew the pin. While Galaxy devices still await that feature, Samsung has rolled it out for its Family Hub smart fridge. You can lock apps now on a Samsung smart fridgeSamsung's Family Hub fridges have massive touch screens and run on Tizen OS. They offer apps and many useful features that assist users in the kitchen. As highlighted on X, Samsung's Family Hub fridges now have the App Lock feature. Users can lock individual apps with a PIN so even if guests are tinkering around with their fridge, they can't get into those apps. Perhaps the logic here is that at least everyone has some form of PIN or biometric access control on their phones while that's not really the case on a fridge. Samsung also has Secure Folder on its phones where users can lock apps and files in a sandboxed environment. Be that as it may, a native App Lock feature remains a genuine demand from Galaxy device owners, and one can only hope that Samsung will follow through on that sooner rather than later. The post Samsung gave a feature Galaxy phone owners want to a fridge of all things appeared first on SamMobile.
