President Trump mocks Iran after its president apologizes to neighboring countries for attacks, suggests bid for regime change could fail with Tehran continuing to resist for decades.By David Rosenberg, World Israel NewsPresident Donald Trump vowed over the weekend that the US and Israel will continue to strike the Iranian regime, even after Iran’s president apologized for its recent attacks on neighboring countries and vowed not to carry out further strikes.On Saturday, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian addressed Arab and Muslim states hit recently by Iranian drones and missiles, apologizing for the attacks and pledging not to initiate further hostilities.“I must apologize on my own behalf and on behalf of Iran to the neighboring countries that were attacked by Iran,” Pezeshkian said.At the same time, Pezeshkian pushed back on Trump’s demand that Iran unconditionally surrender to the United States, calling the American ultimatum “a dream they should take to their grave.”Despite Pezeshkian’s apology and pledge to halt attacks on Iran’s neighbors, Iran continued to strike countries across the region on Saturday, including Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, and the United Arab Emirates.Hours later, Trump responded to Pezeshkian’s apology, mocking the Iranian president and claiming that the Islamic Republic has been tamed, becoming the “loser of the Middle East.”“Iran, which is being beat to HELL, has apologized and surrendered to its Middle East neighbors, and promised that it will not shoot at them anymore,” Trump said.“This promise was only made because of the relentless U.S. and Israeli attack. They were looking to take over and rule the Middle East. It is the first time that Iran has ever lost, in thousands of years, to surrounding Middle Eastern Countries.”The president appeared to suggest the ongoing conflict would fail to immediately lead to the collapse of the regime, claiming Iran could continue to defy the US “for many decades.”“They have said, ‘Thank you President Trump.’ I have said, ‘You’re welcome!’ Iran is no longer the ‘Bully of the Middle East,’ they are, instead, ‘THE LOSER OF THE MIDDLE EAST,’ and will be for many decades until they surrender or, more likely, completely collapse!”“Today Iran will be hit very hard!
