Prime Minister Robert Abela has announced a fresh €50,000 donation from the Social Causes Fund to the Puttinu Cares Marathon, bringing the fund’s latest direct support for the cause to €100,000 over the past two days.The newly announced contribution was presented during the ongoing marathon and will be added to the €50,000 already donated yesterday by the same fund, following the cancellation of the Puttinu Walk event.In addition to those contributions, the Social Causes Fund has also pledged a further €100,000 to support the development of a new therapeutic centre in Mosta, planned by Puttinu.The announcement adds to the growing momentum behind this year’s marathon, which continues to draw strong support from across Malta and Gozo.Puttinu Cares remains one of Malta’s most beloved charities, offering crucial support to children and families travelling abroad for treatment, particularly in the UK.This year, funds raised during the marathon are expected to go towards the construction of new apartments in London, which will provide accommodation for patients and relatives who need to stay in England while receiving medical care.Abela also encouraged the public to continue donating and support the marathon’s mission.Those wishing to contribute can do so through the following:5180 2008 – €255190 2062 – €505061 9225 – €11.65 by SMS79499423 – BOV / APS2144 1111 – PledgesWith donations continuing to pour in, the latest government-backed contribution is expected to provide a further boost to the telethon as Malta once again rallies behind Puttinu Cares.Have you donated yet?•
