A total of 3,699 domestic Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) cylinders were seized between March 12 to April 3, 2026. Besides this, 70 small cylinders too were seized, as per Telangana Civil Supplies Department on Friday. Their value is around ₹1.20 crore. People relying on LPG to run business started to experience LPG shortage from the second week of March. Restaurant operators and owners of small eateries flagged the issue. The Civil Supplies Department began to conduct searches around the same time. It announced the toll-free number 1967 for people to report issues with illegal commercial usage and supply issues.
