A body in an advanced state of decomposition was recovered from the sea off the cliffs of Fawwara earlier today.Police were informed of the discovery at around 1.00pm, after the body was spotted in the water.An Armed Forces of Malta patrol boat was immediately dispatched to the area. The body was retrieved from the sea and taken to the Maritime Base at Xatt it-Tiben.Magistrate Monica Borg Galea has been informed and has appointed several experts to assist in the inquiry that has been opened.Police investigations are ongoing.•
