Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, the Shankaracharya of the Jyotir Math in Uttarakhand, has been booked under POCSO Act. According to the FIR, it has been alleged that Swami Avimukteshwaranand and his disciples subjected a minor and another youth to repeated sexual assault over the past year. Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati was born in Pratapgarh in UP and took diksha from Swami Swaroopanand in 2006.
