A court in Muzaffarnagar acquitted 37 individuals accused in the 2013 communal riots case that left eight people dead, citing insufficient evidence. Additional District and Sessions Judge Manjula Bhalotiya noted that the prosecution failed to prove the charges beyond a reasonable doubt.
