normalnormalnormalChandigarh: The North Zone Cultural Centre, Patiala (Ministry of Culture, Government of India) is set to organise a four-day ‘Ragini Utsav’ at Kalagram, Manimajra, beginning Thursday. The cultural festival will be held from March 12 to 15, 2026, with performances starting daily at 5:00 pm.In addition, a four-day ‘Saang Utsav’ will also be organised from March 19 onwards at the same venue.The Ragini Utsav will showcase Haryana’s rich folk traditions and captivating ragini gayan performances. As many as 12 renowned ragini troupes from Haryana will present vibrant performances, bringing alive folk culture, traditions and social themes through music.Similarly, during the Saang Utsav, eight prominent saang troupes will take the stage, presenting the traditional folk theatre form of Haryana known for its blend of music, storytelling and social messages.According to NZCC Director Furkan Khan, the primary objective of these festivals is to connect the younger generation with folk arts and provide a platform to regional artists.
