Lisa Rinna has spoken about her time working with President Trump on The Apprentice in her new memoir, You Better Believe I’m Gonna Talk About It. She says “There were no signs back then that he’d become the monster he is today.” She added, “Trump was a great entertainer. He would come out, say his lines, do his job, and move it along.” Rinna appeared on two seasons of the reality competition show. She first appeared on Celebrity Apprentice in 2011, where she was eliminated in the second week. She returned for Celebrity Apprentice: All-Stars two years later, finishing in fourth place. The two appearances gave her a close look at Trump in a professional setting. According to The Independent, during that time, Rinna found Trump to be “nice” and “professional,” and always on time. Rinna’s view of Trump has done a complete 180, and she isn’t holding back Her opinion of him today is very different. She wrote in her memoir that she thinks “he’s horrible and has ruined the world,” and refers to him as “our current Circus Peanut in Chief.” She also said she was as “shocked as anybody at who he became,” and wondered if “maybe he’s always been that way and he finally took the mask off.” Reports also suggest that Trump has been privately weighing his preferences for the 2028 Republican ticket, pointing to a leader still focused on political dominance. Rinna also shared her thoughts on the Trump family from her time on the show. She described Melania and Ivanka as “robots” and “total Stepford Wives.” Of Donald Trump Jr. and Eric, she said they were “just as gross as they are now.” Lisa Rinna Reflects on ‘Monster’ Donald Trump During Apprentice Appearance#TheApprentice https://t.co/XAIybskq48— Reality Tea (@RealityTea) February 24, 2026 Rinna also reflected on how her political views, particularly about Trump, played a role in her exit from The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills in 2023. She believes her stance contributed to fans turning against her during her final season on the show. On the foreign policy front, Trump’s approach has also drawn attention, with details emerging about his two-stage military strategy against Iran that insiders say is unlike anything seen before. Her last season was also personally difficult. Filming for season 12 began just three days after she lost her mother, Lois. She said she was deep in grief, which led her to lash out and share her feelings on social media. She believes both her grief and her political opinions affected how viewers saw her during that period, and that these factors combined played a role in her departure from the show.
