Following the explosion in a firecracker manufacturing unit at Vetlapalem in Samarlakota of Kakinada district, Anakapalli district police have conducted preventive inspections at firecracker manufacturing and storage units across the district on Sunday.Superintendent of Police, Tuhin Sinha, reviewed the situation and issued instructions to carry out inspections in all sub-divisions of the district. Under the supervision of the DSPs of Anakapalli, Narsipatnam, and Parawada, the Station House Officers of all police stations, in coordination with the Fire and Revenue departments, conducted raids at both licensed and also suspected unauthorised units.Published - March 01, 2026 11:31 pm IST
