The Congress on Thursday backed the Supreme Court’s strong reaction to references on judicial corruption in an NCERT Class 8 textbook, calling the court’s anger justified. The party alleged that textbook revisions over the past decade were an RSS-driven exercise marked by “mischief and malice.” The apex court imposed a blanket ban on the book, ordered seizure of copies, and sought explanations from officials, while NCERT apologised and withdrew the text.
