King Mohammed VI has reaffirmed Morocco’s unwavering solidarity with several Gulf States following what the Royal Office described as “vile aggressions” targeting their sovereignty and territorial security.In a statement released Saturday, the Royal Office said the King held a series of telephone conversations with key Gulf leaders. They included Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the United Arab Emirates; King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa of Bahrain; Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia; and Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of the State of Qatar.During the calls, King Mohammed VI strongly condemned the attacks directed at the Gulf nations. He reaffirmed Morocco’s full support for all legitimate measures they may deem necessary to safeguard their security and ensure the safety of their citizens.The Royal Office stated that Morocco’s position reflects deep-rooted fraternal ties and longstanding solidarity with the Arab Gulf States. It emphasised that the security and stability of the Gulf countries are considered integral to Morocco’s own security and stability.According to the statement, any threat to the security of these states constitutes a serious and unacceptable aggression. It also poses a direct threat to regional stability.The declaration comes at a time of heightened security tensions in the Middle East. It underscores Morocco’s consistent diplomatic stance in favour of regional stability, respect for national sovereignty, and strategic cooperation with its Arab partners.
