6 dead, 27 injured in Iranian missile attack on central Israeli city of Beit Shemesh.By World Israel News StaffSix people were killed and 27 injured in an Iranian missile attack on the city of Beit Shemesh on Sunday afternoon.Iran launched multiple volleys of ballistic missiles towards Israel Sunday afternoon, forcing millions of Israelis across the country to seek shelter.During the attacks, one ballistic missile struck a residential neighborhood Beit Shemesh, west of Jerusalem, leveling a bomb shelter and eight private homes.Emergency first responders from Magen David Adom (MDA), ZAKA, and United Hatzalah, along with fire and rescue teams, were dispatched to the scene to search through the rubble for survivors.“When we arrived, we saw significant destruction at the scene and residents who had been rescued from the building,” said MDA medic Yosef Laufer.“We provided medical treatment to several casualties, including a girl about 10 years old who was seriously injured, as well as several other injured people with varying degrees of injury. MDA teams remain at the scene to continue treating additional casualties who have not yet been rescued.”Thirty-three people were injured in the attack, including six initially listed in critical condition.The six most seriously injured patients were later declared dead at the scene.According to an IDF spokesperson, the Home Front Command has called a helicopter to the scene to evacuate the victims to nearby hospitals.“Home Front Command search-and-rescue forces, together with numerous medical teams and a helicopter for evacuating the wounded, are currently operating at the impact site in Beit Shemesh.The commander of the Home Front Command is on his way to the scene,” the military said.Of the 27 patients treated at the scene of the attack, two are listed in serious condition, two are in moderate condition, and 23 are in light condition.In a separate missile attack Sunday afternoon on a town in central Israel, a 50-year-old man was moderately wounded by shrapnel.The post 6 killed in Iranian missile strike on Beit Shemesh appeared first on World Israel News.
